Lisa Raitt’s Community BBQ Benefits Local Humane Society
July 18, 2009
On Saturday July 18th Lisa Raitt hosted her first community BBQ in support of the Oakville and District Humane Society. Lisa would like to very sincerely thank all those who came out to support the event and gave so generously to help look after the animals of Halton Region. Because of your support, we were able to donate more than $1,100 to the Humane Society. A special thanks to Laureen Harper, a longtime supporter of animal adoption, who came out to lend her support. The Prime Minister and Laureen have been foster parents to many cats during the past year. At any given time, the Harpers have provided foster care to numerous cats at their Ottawa home. If you couldn’t make it out to the event or would like more information on the Humane Society and what you can do to help, please visit them online at http://www.oakvillehumane.ca/home.html |
