On Saturday, January 9th, Lisa Raitt will hold three broad based consultation meetings that will provide an opportunity for constituents of Halton to give their opinions on what the priorities should be for the upcoming session of parliament and the 2010 Federal Budget. Because of consultations held here in Halton and across the country last year our government was able to develop and deliver Canada’s Economic Action Plan which many have credited with protecting families and stimulating the economy. The meetings will be held in Milton, Burlington and Oakville and are open to all who may wish to attend. Milton Milton Sports Centre Meeting Room 3 605 Santa Maria Blvd Registration: 8:30am Meeting : 9:00am-10:30am Burlington Tansley Woods Centre Community Room 3 1996 Itabashi Way Registration: 11:30am Meeting: 12:00pm-1:30pm Oakville River Oaks Community Centre Community Room B 2400 Sixth Line Registration: 2:30pm Meeting: 3:00pm-4:30pm These meetings are important to increase accessibility and bring the issues and the discussion into our neighborhoods. If anyone wishes to make a contribution and cannot attend these meetings, I would encourage them to contact my office so their suggestions can still be submitted. |
